Beyond Spheres プロジェクト！

 ここ２〜３日東京は夏まっただなかの陽気になりました。今日は夏至。素敵な響きです。みなさま熱中症にはお気をつけください。

ファインアートフォトグラファー栗田紘一郎氏主宰のアートプロジェクト、「Beyond Spheres」について、ご案内です。

Beyond Spheresはニューヨーク在住のファインアートフォトグラファー栗田紘一郎が主宰するアートプロジェクトです。NYFA（NewYork Foundation for the Arts - NPO）にスポンサープログラムとして正式認可されています。

栗田紘一郎はヘンリーD・ソロー（アメリカの学者、自然思想家）の自然哲学からスタートして２０数年、自然をテーマに写真と関わってきました。２１世紀の現在、経済、環境、倫理など文明社会が混迷する中、若い将来を担う人たちと共に自然を体感しながら”自然と人間の関係”を通し、地球全体を考えるアートプロジェクトを企画しました。
ソローの歩いたであろう森、山野などニューイングランド（マサチューセッツ州、メイン州を中心に彼の足跡をトレースしながら当時の写真術「カロタイプ」でその場にある太陽光で作品を作っていくフォトアートツアーです。写真発明の原点に立ち返り、ソローと同時代のWilliam Henry Fox Talbotのカロタイプ（ペーパーネガ）で作品を制作していきます。

高度な文明の中で我々は機器やシステムにたより、手を使わなくなってしまいました。この究極的な手作りの写真技法を懐古的な動機ではなく、現代のアート写真制作の選択肢として、栗田紘一郎とそのチームが臨みます。また、ツアーの途上各地のインスティチュート等の協力のもと、環境やアーツのワークショップを開催します。

栗田さんのカロタイプによる作品、息をのむほどすばらしいです。。

 

一週間。

 夜中〜午前中までたくさん雨が降っていましたが、どうやらやんできたようです。最近は素敵な傘や長靴があるので、雨の日のおでかけもいい気分になりますね。

LIBRAILIE6での平竜二「Vicissitudes-儚きもの彼方より-」展、一週間終わりました。お越しいただいたたくさんの方々、本当にありがとうございます。
いろいろな新しい出会いがあったり、LIBRAILIE6ではとても素敵な時間が過ごせます。みなさん平の作品をとてもゆーっくり見ていただけるので、私たちもとてもうれしいです。
いろんなちいさな引き出しに、素敵なものがたくさんつまっていますので、そちらもぜひご覧くださいね。

Vicissitudes-儚きもの彼方より-展

 だんだんと夏が近づいてきて、半袖の方を多く見かけます。梅雨入りしていますが、ここ何日かはあまり雨が降っていないので、色づきはじめたあじさいも足踏みしているようです。

お待たせしました。平竜二作品展示のお知らせです。
今回は恵比寿にあるLIBRAILIE6（リブレリーシス）さんいう素敵なギャラリーでの展示になります。

LIBRAILIE6さんは、主にシュルレアリズムの作家作品の展示や本、オブジェなどを販売しているギャラリーです。写真専門のギャラリーではありませんが、大変面白いところです。

平のこれまでの「Vicissitudes」シリーズから「Bright Shadows」シリーズをはじめ、新作と合わせて30点近く展示いたします。平をご存知の方もそうでない方も、作品を一気に見れる機会ですので、ぜひお誘い合わせの上見にいらしてください★

平も私も在廊している日も多いと思いますので、ぜひお声がけくださいね。

Fine Art Photographer 平竜二の個展のお知らせをちょこっと。
６月８日より、恵比寿にある LIBRAIRIE6にて「Vicissitudes」シリーズから「Bright Shadows」シリーズ、新作を含め20点ほど展示をいたします。
８×１０インチをはじめ、大型のプラチナパラディウムプリントで作られた世界は、自分をどこか遠くへ、またはミクロの世界へひょいっと連れていってくれるような気がします。平による小宇宙をぜひこの機会にご覧くださいませ★

LIBRAIRIE6（リブレリーシス／シス書店）さんはとても素敵なギャラリーで、オーナーもとてもキュートな女性です。オーナー自ら買いつけてきたアンティークにも心をわしづかみされます。インスピレーションをグッとかきたてられる、でもすごく居心地のいい空間です。

Fine Print Auction Exibit

このたび東日本大震災により被災されたみなさまに心からお見舞い申し上げます。みなさまに一日でも早く光と笑顔があふれますように。

こういうときだからこそ、アートの必要性、真価が問われるときなんだと思います。私たちみんなでやれること、やるべきことをやり、少しでも前に進みたいです。

カリフォルニア・サクラメント市のViewpointというアートオーガニゼーションのファンドレーズの為に、FOTOSPHEREから平竜二と柴田真知子がオークションに協力、参加しています。
１ヶ月の展示後にオークションが行われます。このオークションはオンラインで参加できますので、ご興味のある方はぜひどうぞ！

Viewpoint Photographic Art Center is pleased to announce the 2011 Fine Print Auction Exhibit, culminating in the Live Auction event on May 7th. This major annual fundraiser for Viewpoint features the work of Viewpoint members and recognized photographers from Northern California and around the world. The event provides a wonderful opportunity to support Sacramento’s only nonprofit photography gallery and gives auction-goers the chance to purchase extraordinary photographs at attractive prices.  Proceeds go directly to the Viewpoint Photographic Art Center, enabling it to continue to build its outreach, education and exhibit programs.

Important Dates

Friday, April 1: Silent Auction bidding and Live Auction pre-bidding begin online at http://www.viewpointgallery.org. Bids may be placed 24 hours per day.

Wednesday, April 6: – Fine Print Auction Exhibit opens at Viewpoint Gallery, 2015 J Street in Sacramento; both Silent Auction and Live Auction prints will be on display.

Saturday, April 9: 5:30 – 9:00 p.m. – Second Saturday Reception

Friday, May 6: 3:00 p.m. – Silent Auction closes

Saturday, May 7: 6:30 p.m. – 2011 Viewpoint Fine Print Live Auction, Doors open at 5:00 p.m.

During business hours, gallery visitors may also place bids from dedicated computers in the gallery. The auction website will be updated as bids come in, allowing bidders to check back and see if they are still the highest bidder, and giving them the opportunity to raise their bids if they desire.

Bidders wishing to secure their favorite Silent Auction print may “Buy It Now” at 80% of the retail value.  
Live Auction prints will be available for pre-bidding online through Friday, May 6 at 3:00 p.m.  For bidders unable to attend the Live Auction in person, proxy bidding is also available.
